About Edmund

Edmund Langdell is a Reiki Master Practitioner trained under Brian Brunius at the NYC Reiki Center.

They are a student of Hojin Sensei in the Mountains and Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism, and completed a three-year residency at the Zen Center of New York City.

Raised on a homestead in Vermont, Edmund developed a deep connection to the earth and an appreciation for the interconnectedness of all life.

    Mikao Usui

    Mikao Usui founded the Reiki system of healing in Japan in the early 1900s. Through spiritual practice, meditation, and energetic healing work, he developed the system now known as Usui Reiki Ryoho.

    Chujiro Hayashi

    Chujiro Hayashi was a student of Mikao Usui and played a major role in organizing and expanding Reiki practice in Japan. A former naval physician, he helped develop many of the treatment approaches still used in Reiki today.

Services

  • Hands-on Reiki treatments support physical and emotional healing, including physical recovery, releasing trauma, transforming patterns of thought and behavior, and energetic balance. Sessions include a series of hand positions that support energetic flow through the major internal organs and chakras.

  • Distance Reiki sessions mirror the in-person treatments and are designed for people who are unable to travel to the practice. Sessions begin and end with a Zoom conversation, while the Reiki treatment itself is received from the comfort of your own home.
